Expansion is the process of starting new Chapters on campuses and re-colonizing inactive Chapters. Every semester Chi Phi strategically selects universities to colonize. when our expansion team arrives on campus they meet with established leaders and students to develop a plan to create an organization that fits the campus’ needs while embodying our core values of truth, honor, and personal integrity.
Chi Phi utilizes a values based selection method. Through small/medium sized recruitment events we assess each potential new member based on the values that create a strong brotherhood, like knowledge, integrity, service, unity, and leadership.
These values serve as the benchmark for all candidates being considered for membership. We believe that selecting the most well rounded candidates harbors a more positive environment and allows the Colony to truly flourish and build upon its solid base of men.
